Atharva S Mandrekar 

His artwork is sensitive to his surroundings and often reflects social, emotional, and existential issues faced by people. His work is primarily figurative and stems from his roots in theatre. He depicts subjects ranging from mundane to personal difficulties faced by himself and others, including the hardships faced by daily wage labours. His artwork often includes monsters and ghouls as he believes in viewing the world without filters, revealing the harsh reality and monsters that lie underneath. Overall, his work aims to reflect his observations and interpretations of the world in the most authentic way possible.  

 

Atharva is based in Goa. He is a student at Goa College of Art where he is currently pursuing his  Masters in Fine Arts degree and where he also   completed his Bachelors in Fine Arts specialising in Painting. He is an award recipient at 45th and  47th Goa State Art  Exhibition.
