Jagmohan Bangani is a fulltime visual artist from Uttrakhand who currently lives and works in Delhi. He was awarded his Masters degree (Painting) from Winchester School of Art, UK. He is a recipient of Ford Foundation Fellowship (New York). To date, he has done five solo shows and his works are exhibited in a number of major group art exhibitions in India and abroad.

He cites “Sounds take the form of words. The words overlap in language and meaning. This process of developing an artwork goes on until it becomes an experience of my inner feelings. Although the end result always matters to me, I enjoy the process more. Varied languages like Sanskrit, Hindi, Punjabi, and English comprise the visuals of my artworks, thus presenting an abstraction of colours and scripts of profound depth. The artworks which I create represent my spiritual approach to the things of everyday life. My artistic creations helps others in turning their gaze inwards, to reflect on what is in front of the eyes and also on what is within oneself.”
