Babita Das is a Kolkata-born artist and curator  with a BFA and MFA in Graphics from Kala Bhavan (1985–1992). Her artistic practice has evolved through extensive international exposure, including residencies, exhibitions, workshops, and art camps across Asia, Europe, and the United States.

Das has curated 22 International Art Meets since 2009. Her accolades include a Gold Medal and Certificate at the Beijing Olympic Fine Arts Exhibition (2008) and the Best Prize in Painting at the Izmir Biennial, Turkey (2013). She participated in the Florence Biennale (2005) and was invited to Livigno, Italy, as an ice sculptor in 2010.

Her international engagements include workshops and art programmes in Poland, Malaysia, Indonesia, Lithuania, South Korea, Germany, Jordan, Bangladesh, Bosnia, The Netherlands, Egypt, Switzerland, and several other countries. 

She has presented 25 solo exhibitions in India and abroad.
