Dave Willlams
Dave initially studied at the Cambridge School of Art (Anglia Ruskin University), before
undertaking postgraduate studies at Central Saint Martins School of Art.
He subsequently worked for over 30 years as a freelance illustrator and educator, teaching
across all levels of art education.
Dave has taught on a number of the UK's most highly respected illustration courses,
including those at the University of Brighton (BA), Camberwell College of Art (MA) and
Central Saint Martins School of Art (MA).
As an artist, Dave has exhibited both nationally and internationally. Notable exhibitions
include the Transport for London Museum, where his work was used to promote the Open
Spaces exhibition, as well as festival exhibitions at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou
and Tsinghua University in Beijing.
His diverse illustration commissions have included scarf designs for the National Museum
of Scotland, a complete portfolio of promotional material for Wexford Festival Opera in
southern Ireland, music packaging for Big Cat Records, and numerous book covers and
editorial illustrations.
Dave now works as an artist, animation collaborator, printmaker and curator from his studio in north
London.
Dave is currently engaged in responding to his longstanding interest with medical
illustration and imaging and the ways in which this visual material intersects with his
ontology.
