“I am an Indian-born visual artist based in the UK, where I completed my Master’s degree in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University in 2026. My interdisciplinary practice spans painting, drawing, and printmaking, with a dedicated focus on material experimentation and cultural memory. Central to my recent explorations is the tactile and emotional resonance of heirloom textiles, most notably my mother’s silk sarees.
About my Work: Title- FOLDED NARRATIVES- MEMORY OF HER
I created this series directly on my mother’s fine silk sarees, turning something deeply personal from home into an exploration of womanhood and cultural blend. Since moving to the UK, I have observed women around me with different skin tones and backgrounds, I wanted to focus on that variety and show how these attires enhance a woman’s beauty, no matter where she comes from.
