Quratulain “Annie” Ahmad is a self-taught mixed-media artist based in Worcestershire, UK, whose work explores themes of connection, transformation, stillness and inner becoming. Returning to art later in life, she developed an intuitive practice rooted in texture, layering, and emotional expression. 

Working with acrylics, organic forms, and metallic elements including gold, silver, copper and imitation leaf, Annie creates artworks that feel both grounded and luminous. Her recent works reflect an ongoing exploration of spirituality, healing, and the unseen energies that shape human experience.  Her art has been exhibited internationally, including the Women’s Essence Art Show in London, the IDENTITY Exhibition at Insa Art Center in Seoul, South Korea, and the Affordable Art Fair in London. 

With regard to the painting ‘Becoming: The Essence Within’ is about how our identity is shaped over time. “The tree represents who we are at our core, while all the colourful forms around it represent the people, experiences, emotions and different influences we encounter throughout our lives. Some affect us more than others, but they all become part of our story.”
