Spike Gerrell is a long-established illustrator. Initially specialising in quick turnaround editorial freelance work for a host of publications, his singular style quickly became suitable for a broad range of clients. Restlessly creative, he is perpetually seeking new paths and is increasingly finding new joys in 3-dimensional work. 

An inveterate side quester, his penchant for balancing rocks on top of other rocks, his making of zoomorphic creatures out of fruit & veg and his temporary land art installations are all part of the same creative process. The dividing line between exploration, experimentation and commercial work has always been particularly blurred.

Spike's exhibiting exploits include these Post-It notes, his illustration work, paintings and drawings, sketchbooks, photography, metalwork, sculpture and jewellery.

Married with two grown up children, Spike is a beekeeper and has two cats.
